THE  Measure  Of  Faith

Romans 12:3

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Having established facts that allow you to believe the Bible is truth, I must tell you that I have never seen anyone become a believer based on the supernatural attributes of the Bible.  People come to Christ through faith, realizing their need for a savior, desiring to be saved from the punishment of sin.  They later have their faith in the Bible and its Author strengthened by facts.

You would think that the unshakeable facts would convince an intelligent, physical person to believe in spiritual things.  But they don’t.  He/she must become spiritual to believe in spiritual things (I Corinthians 2:9-14).

Just as God requires faith, He also gives THE measure of faith to every man so that all may believe.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Anyone unwilling to believe by faith is actively and willingly rejecting Jesus Christ on their own.

Even if you believed the Bible was true due to its supernatural attributes, at a very early point you would still have to believe its doctrines by faith.  God is from everlasting, his name is I AM, and He inhabits eternity.  You can’t understand or explain these things; you must believe by faith in His words that say that.  The same is true with creation.  The same is true of the virgin birth.  The same is true of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Without faith, you are gravity-bound.  Exercise the measure of faith already in you and see what “the word of God is not bound” really means.
