Psalm 103:11-13
For as the heaven is high above the earth,
so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
Eternal security is the most misunderstood Christian doctrine. Ask most Christians about it and they just don’t know what to believe.
It is difficult to conceive of a God who would effectively save you from yourself when you knew what you were doing was a sin against Him. But, Isaiah 55:8-9, Father knows best and he knows me and you all too well.
If our salvation were left up to our own righteousness, the fat lady would sing continuously because it would be all over (Isaiah 64:6 & I John 1:8).
Thank God that salvation is a free gift based on the work of Another, who is worthy.
Thank God that he considers our mere faith in his work at Calvary enough to become part of his body.
Thank God that he hath removed our transgressions from us as far as the east is from the west. |
I love you Lord, “for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.” (Isaiah 38:17).
I love you Lord because “he that hath the Son hath life” (I John 5:12).
I love you Lord because “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (I John 5:13).
“Your body has no soul.
You are your soul.
Your soul has a body.”

Colossians 2:10-14
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
You have a body, a soul, and a spirit (I Thessalonians 5:23). Your soul is the shape of your body and has bodily abilities (Luke 16:22-31, Revelation 6:9-10). It is spiritually attached to your body prior to salvation. Therefore, your soul is co-responsible for the sins of the body. Upon the new birth, the Holy Spirit spiritually cuts (circumcises) your soul away from your body and its natural spirit of man and seals it (Ephesians 1:13, 4:30). The saved, sealed soul can no longer be held responsible for the sins of the body. So your sinful body dies and goes to the grave while your righteous soul goes up to heaven. The unrighteous soul goes to hell, burdened with bodily sin.
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
This operation of God is the name given to the circumcision made without hands and your spiritual baptism (I Corinthians 12:13), which allows your severed soul to rise.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
When this operation takes place, your soul is quickened together with him (made a permanent part of the body of Christ) because you have now been forgiven all trespasses.
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
There is no longer a book listing your sins against God.
He nailed your sins to his cross. |
He has paid for your sins. He has personally delivered your sins to hell. He put your sins as far as the east is from the west, behind His back. The Lord hath laid on him (his body) the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:6). Our souls are sealed and saved. Our bodies will be raised immortal and incorruptible at rapture time. You will have the Holy Spirit of God indwelling you ‘til we see Christ.
Furthermore, the following Pauline scriptures tell us that sins are of the body or flesh. Therefore, they are not of the saved soul which has been sealed.
Your sins will kill your mortal, corruptible body (Romans 6:23), but they can’t touch your soul – hence ETERNAL SECURITY!
This is the Biblical explanation of the actual process instituted by God to keep your soul saved. The wolves are choking; this piece of meat is far too big for them.

READ:
It simply cannot be any clearer. These verses absolutely confirm the same thing - that sins are of the body/flesh, not of the soul.
There is no Pauline scripture that says the sin of a Christian is of the soul.
John the apostle and friend of Jesus writes:
I John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us.
He is referring to your body. Then:
I John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
for his seed remaineth in him:
and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
He is now referring to your saved soul.
There is no contradiction if you rightly divide the word of truth and understand the context. This is how far the east is from the west.
